Manhattan Concert Productions is excited to present Missa Eclectica, a choral masterpiece curated and conducted by Maestro Tim Sharp at world-renowned Carnegie Hall. This one-night only choral concert will feature the Masterwork Festival Chorus and New York City Chamber Orchestra, as well as a performance from the National Festival Chorus, led by conductor Alan Zabriskie.

Conductor Tim Sharp will lead the Masterwork Festival Chorus and the New York City Chamber Orchestra in Missa Eclectica, a choral work designed and curated specifically for this concert. Missa Eclectica is a one-of-a-kind choral mass, using one movement from seven of the most famous choral masses, including Faure’s Requiem - Sanctus, Bach’s Mass in B Minor - Credo, and Rachmaninov’s Vespers - Gloria.

Dr. Tim Sharp is the Executive Director of the American Choral Directors Association, the world’s largest association of choral conductors, teachers, students, scholars, composers, and choral industry representatives. Dr. Sharp appears regularly as a guest conductor and clinician throughout the world, with recent performances in Austria, Thailand, Greece, Italy, Ireland, England and China. Dr. Sharp is approaching his ninth season as Artistic Director of the Tulsa Oratorio Chorus, Tulsa, OK, where critics characterize his performances as “impressively polished”, and having “stunning power” and “great passion and precision”.

The concert will also feature the National Festival Chorus alongside conductor Alan Zabriskie performing Schubert’s “Der Tanz”, Elder’s “Lullaby”, Rist’s “Invictus”, and more. Alan Zabriskie is Director of Choral Studies and Associate Professor of Music at Texas Tech University and has served as chorus master for the Utah Lyric Opera, Florida State University Opera, and has conducted honor choirs and served as clinician in choral festivals and conferences throughout the United States, Europe, and Africa.

The concert will also feature a performance from College of the Desert Symphonic Band, led by Michael P. Fleischmann.

Don’t miss Tim Sharp’s Missa Eclectica, and a wonderful performance from the National Festival Chorus at legendary Carnegie Hall!
