Dr. M. Dee Wilkins is the Director of Vocal Music at Oklahoma Panhandle State University. He conducts the OPSU Chamber Singers and Concert Choir, and teaches conducting and voice. Dr. Wilkins’ DA degree is from the University of Northern Colorado, with his MM and BM in Music Education from Northern Arizona University. He taught for 9 years in the public schools in Arizona, and is known for building quality programs, and seeking opportunities for collaboration and shared learning. As a high school and university director he has been instrumental in establishing and hosting festivals to promote choral music and foster growth for local schools. His own ensembles have performed Coast to Coast, including performances in NYC’s Lincoln Center and the Kennedy Center in Washington DC. Dr. Wilkins participates frequently as guest conductor and judge at regional and interstate festivals.  He has held state positions with ACDA and NAfME, and has served on two state music standards revision committees, and was recently featured on the Choir Ninja Podcast. Of all his honors, the two he cherishes most are being husband to Leisel, and father to their nine children.
