An Americana Thanksgiving

Joshua Oppenheim and Julie Yu will conduct the National Festival Chorus in a selection of works by American composers such as Stephen Paulus, Z. Randall Stroope, René Clausen, as well as a rousing performance of Battle Hymn of the Republic this Thanksgiving weekend at world-renowned Carnegie Hall.

Guest Conductors Dr. Joshua Oppenheim and Dr. Julie Yu are currently Co-Directors of Choral Studies at Kansas State University. Both conductors’ choirs have performed throughout the United States and abroad, including Vienna, Austria and Prague, Czech Republic, Italy and Germany.

The concert will also feature performances by Florida Gulf Coast University's Bower School of Music & the Arts Wind Orchestra conducted by Dr. Rod Chesnutt and Troy Jones, and Youngstown State University Wind Ensemble conducted by Drs. Stephen Gage and Brandt Payne.
